I am running Vista RC1 on a Nvidia 6800GT video card using the Vista
drivers. It appears if I go to a web site that uses Java, in this case a
weather radar site, my monitor will switch modes and I get the above
message. I can't really see any change, but it does blink just as if I had
changed resolutions. Anyone know why? Is it caused by the Java or
something about the web site itself.

Thanks,
Clark

Not all applications can work with new Aero interface.
I use Java 6 Beta JRE and it works fine on both IE and FireFox with applets.
Java 1.4.2 and 1.5 works only with IE.
And sometines you may have to disable some Sun's ActiveX... at least on
Vista Beta2 I had to disable something to make my IE starting at all!!

Unfortunately all Java GUI apps don't work with Aero (swing, awt.. on 1.4.2
and 1.5). Maybe for me only :-)

Best regards,
K.

I'm not completely sure it is caused by Java, but in order to get Aero to
come back, I not only had to leave the web site, but close down the browser
completely.

Thanks,
Clark
