I'm having difficulty getting correct skin tones with my Epson R220 (Mac OS
X). Despite messing with all the settings and different papers, skin comes
out vivid salmon color. Anyone advise me about the "best" color profile to
use please?

Hi.

You should use the Profile for the specific paper you are using in your
R220.

I am sorry I don't know the actual names, but if you go to your Profile
folder and check the Properties for each of the R220 Profiles you will see
the Paper Type under the "Profile Information" Tab, (the initials in the
names are not always helpfull).

If you are Colour Managing in Photoshop, and selecting the Printer Profile
in its Print with Preview dialogue, ensure that the Printer is set to do no
colour management/correction. On my 1290 this is done in Custom > Advanced
in the Printer Dialogues.

I am assuming that you are using Epson Ink, because otherwise none of the
"Canned Profiles" will be accurate.
