Hi. I have an AIW 2006 PCIE. Occasionally, when I download various movie
clips, they show up simply a 'blob' of green, yellow, blue etc. You can
tell that the scene is there mixed up in all the colors, and the audio is
fine. Doesn't matter usually whether I open the file with ATI's viewer or
plain old MS Media Player. The latest files I looked at were some home made
clips of a guy on eBay who sells Grand Pianos and demos them. These were
..wmv's.

Then again, other files are fine. Then too, I have files I can open with
ATI's viewer, but won't show properly in Media Player. Do I have something
set up wrong ?

thanks

Yep - that's it ! So no answers to be found as yet, huh ? Thanks for the
reply anyway though. Maybe one of the experts here will come through for us.

Hi guys
try this,
win media player > tools > performance > advanced (under video acceleration)
untick use video mixing renderer in video acceleration and dvd video.
It fixed my problem similar to yours.

Sorry, this's not really a reply, but sounds like your problem is
similar to mine:

I have an image in the thread to show what my screen looks like...Does
it look like your?

:-(

It works!

Thanks you very much oldwolf...I should have asked earlier and not
suffered for so long ;-)

Hope it works for Jim too!

Excellent ! Thanks a lot ! Works great for Win Media Player. Would you
happen to know how to accomplish the same thing for the ATI File Player ? I
don't see a setting anywhere that resembles that in the mmc setup.

Thanks again

Sorry know nothing about ATI player, never seen it in fact.
