Hi Matt,
It has been awhile, but I have seen this problem. If memory serves,
the solution was to make sure you had chosen a color printer either before
you designed the report or at some point afterwards; after which you would
have done a save of the report while in design mode. So, if your default
printer is a black and white printer and your report is set to print to the
default printer, while you are not in Access, temporarily set the default
printer for Windows to your color printer. Then go into Access and then into
design mode for the report and do a save. You may need to modify something
first such as moving a control down and then back up. Test printing to see
if it now prints in color. If it does, quit out of Access and set your
default printer back to the normal one. Now test the report, opening it and
printing to the color printer. You may need to play around a bit to get it
to work.
Alternatively, you could just specify in the page setup for the report
to use the color printer instead of the default printer. This can have
problems if you have users who do not have access to the same color printer.
Good Luck!
