Most of my clients use PowerPoint 2003. Having recently purchased 2007, I'd
like to use it to work on their presentations. However, I'm having
difficulties with the color palettes.
It seems that when a 2003 presentation is opened in 2007 (in compatibility
mode) the 2003 color scheme is replaced with the default theme colors of
2007. While none of the object/text colors change in the presentation itself,
I have lost the custom colors from the original color scheme. Likewise, a
presentation created in 2007 with a custom color theme does not seem to
retain any of its palette when opened in 2003.
I figure I've got to be missing something, because this simple issue makes
using 2007 very problematic as long as the files have to be compatible with
my 2003 clients. Any thoughts?
Thanks.
