My old laster printer died and I'm thinking of purchasing a color laserjet
(not inkjet) printer. Lately, I've been doing a lot of small desktop
publishing for my Church and I have to take it to Kinkos for color printing.

Any suggestions on what color printer I should invest in that is under
$1,000.00?

Thanks!

Couple of things to think about. First, look at the cost of consumables
(toner, drums, etc..) Some of the cheaper laser printers are more expensive
per page than inkjets, and it can cost as much as a new printer to replace
the toner. Also check to see if they are coming with "starter" cartridges,
and if the colors are individually replaceable.

That said, I have some customers that are very happy with the Minoltas.
They are also not too bad on consumables, being cheaper than Xerox or HP.

Minoltas.
agreed.... school had replaced 3 Xerox with Minoltas....cut the supply costs almost in half..

I have a friend who runs a local print shop. She has a Minolta and has
been very pleased with it.

I guess Minolta wins! I've read good things about it for the price. But I
wanted to get other peoples opinion.

Thanks for your advice!
