Color Changes in Slides

I received a power point slide show from a client to edit. The background
was black when it arrived....suppose to be white. I checked the
layout/Design to make sure the background was coded as white...yes it was. I
also made sure that we were both using the same version. I called Microsoft
for technical support. They tried everything and eventually had to start a
new slide show from scratch and had to cut/paste the material. They did not
offer any resolution as to why this problem existed. Has anyone experienced
this problem? This has happened twice from the same client. Suggestions?

Did they simply override the background color that was specified on the
color scheme?

Right-click outside the slide and choose Format Background. Then change to a
different color and "apply to all."

The color scheme will be the same, but the color that's been applied
manually will remain.

Or...what version of PPT are they using, and what version are you using?
