We have some very complicated figures that were created in Powerpoint 2003.
Their colors do not display correctly in 2007. MS suggests going through each
one and redoing each element. This will cost at least a hundred hours of work
time. Is this a known problem? Is there a fix or workaround?

My guess is the problem is the difference between color schemes in 2003 and
2007. If you can open the file in 2003, choose an object, then look at the
fill colors. Write them down. (Or use Edit | Slide Design | Color Schemes |
Edit)

Now go over to PPT 2007 and go to the Design tab. Choose the Colors dropdown
and then Edit Color Scheme. Try to make your accent colors in the color
schemes the same. You'll have more in 2007 than in 2003, but at least make
those first four the same, then maybe duplicate the last two for the
hyperlink and colored hyperlink options.

That *might* fix it.
