I hope someone can help me with my problem.
I have xp home installed and paint shop pro.

The color test on my printer is fine, my screen show
correct color in the photo - but - when I print this
photo it is not the true color. ie faded and with lines
through it.

Would some one be able to advise in "simple" terms how I
adjust the color.

Appreciate any help

What resolution are you using in PSP to edit this photo?

Also, which version of PSP are you running? You may need to call Jasc tech
support on this one. I use PSP and it sounds like a setting in the program
to me. I usually set my resolution for printing photos to about 200 PPI. It
also depends on what the highest resolution your printer can print is.

My photos print fine since I got PSP 8, I never did have good luck with
version 7 on Windows XP.

Changed resolution to 200, no change, Wendy.

I am using PSP7, and I do believe you are correct about
the settings, as my pc has been disconnected, and the
same thing happened once before. Only I was not the one
to remedy it, and would like to be able to correct it
myself. Thank you Wendy.
And, I will call Jasc Tech

BTW...what is the brand and model of your printer?

I just discovered that HP has released some new
drivers recently that address banding when printing.

Here's what it says in relation the the PhotoSmart 1115:

=======================================
"This driver incorporates fixes for the C++ runtime error
associated with Windows ME, enables installation of the
printer driver when an Iomega zip drive is installed, and
resolves the issue of white lines or bands in the photos
when printing with software other than the HP Photo
Imaging software which shipped with your printer. "

Thank you for the information John.

Printer is a HP 810C - ink cartridge is fine.
The color definitely has to do with settings, but the
banding, I believe is a different issue. Appreciate you
help.
