Win2k advanced server running VPN and Terminal Service.
Server NIC starts to broadcast packets about an hour after
assigning a global ip address to it. Up until the
collisions start happening everything works great. I can
VPN, log in, map drives, terminal, etc. Then you can see
collisions on the wan port going 1000MPH. Once I
disconect the server from the switch the network calms
down and everything works just fine. If I reboot it will
give me about another hour before it starts again. I've
tried all of the following but still can't figure it out.
*Replaced System Board containing 2 onboard 10/100/1000
NICs.
*Tried each nic with the same static IP and outside global
IP. Both did the same thing.
*Assigned new inside static IP and different global IP.
Same thing.
*check for viruses. None
*Checked DNS settings and Fowarders.
*Stopped fowarding UDP packets on ports 137 and 138.
Thanks for the help,
Ben
