collections (importing subtitles)

does anyone know if you can import subtitles or words/captions onto the
photos in your collection
 
no, you would have to add them to your pictures using other software, before
importing

I'm not sure I'm understanding you right.... I'm reading your post as asking
if the pictures can have overlaid text on them, not clip names under them
