Collapse the "Add to Favorites / Create In" folder tree in IE7?

With IE7 when navigating the "Add to Favorites / Create In" folder
tree the folders are, by default, expanded. Is there a way to change
the default to collapsed or designate a level?

As always, thank you in advance for any help
Graham

I don't believe MS saw fit to allow this to be done. I was a tester of the
IE7 beta program and recommended that the "Add to Favorites" be collapsible,
but it was NOT one of the recommendations that was implemented.

Wonderful:( I thought there might be a registry value that could
be edited. It is annoying to have to look at all the folders I have in
my favorites everytime I add another.

The jerks who made that decision must have very small favorites lists. On my
machine, in IE7, it is impossible to add anything more to my favorites list.
I'm switching back to IE6. If this bug in IE7 is ever fixed, will someone
please inform me? Thank you in advance.

This is one of many annoying things that Microsoft has done. It has ruined n
any functionality gain in IE 7. Microsoft once again has demonstrated that
it cannot release a program...no matter what the genre... that is without
MAJOR Flaws. How MS is an irresponsible Monopolistic Pain in back side. Are
there people out there that still believe in this company.

I'm not sure what you mean. My favorites list has folders that
are displayed unexpanded. I can't imagine my being unselective
enough to need enough folders to overfill the list :-)

Time has passed and now IE8 is out there. Did this non-collapsable
Add-to-Favorites bug ever get fixed in IE8?

Rather than reply to a thread started 2-1/2 years ago, start your own new
thread.

A leech site to pretend they have forums with a webnews-for-dummies
interface that produces crappy posts through a gateway to Usenet.
