When I using Access VBA, the options that usually follow docmd. me. etc only
are visible for a short time and now have disappeared all together. What is
that function called and how do I get it back?

Confused.

I have no idea, but make sure you do not have another form
that has a Timer event running.

sounds like the AutoListMembers option in your VBA Editor has been turned
off. to check in Access 97, open any module and on the menu bar click Tools
| Options | Module tab and look at the Coding Options section on the right
side. in A2003, from the menu bar click Tools | Options | Editor tab and
look at the Code Settings options. if you're using another version of
Access, you should be able to find the option settings by looking around the
various tabs in the Tools | Options box. suggest you checkmark (or leave
checkmarked) the Auto List Members, Auto Quick Info, and Auto Data Tips
options.
