Codecs?

I have spent a ton of hours on a presentation but can't
get it to burn to a CD. All of these are jpeg pics that I
am trying to transfer. So does that confirm they are not
CODECS? I have no idea what that even is? I can burn a
smaller version of the same pics but when I do this one
(just under 1000 pics) and I try to save it hangs up at
the window where it shows the % left and the estimated
minutes remaining. I have a Pent 4 with 2.4 mhz and 1 gig
of RAM so memory should not be a problem. Suggestions?
