CODECS

Having created a movie with MM2, saved it to a CD as a wmv
file, when I try and play the video on another XP machine
the required codec is missing. While WMP downloads the
codec required is there any way to determine what codec is
needed so that it can be added to the CD for use on a PC
that does not have access to the internet. (I have used
the device manager to try and see what was added to the
list of codecs, but nothing new appeared in the list after
the download.) Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi,

MM2 uses 9 series codecs if you save to .wmv

So ANY PC with WMP9 installed will play the vidoe OK.

So either install WMP9 or jusr the codec pack:

For WMP XP (8.0) and WMP 7.1
