Code 39

Hello All,
Ok so I got the dreaded code 39 error on an existing optical drive. I did
all the fixes that have been posted, uninstall-reinstall. removed any type
of recording program. deleted the upper and lower filter registry values.
nothing has worked.

Does anyone have any idea on what I can try next? other than reinstaling
windows.

Hi,
Yes it is functional. I am having t same issue with a brand new out of the
box drive that I put in.

I have already deleted the registry values as described in the KB article.
