Code 19 - Your registry might be corrupted.

I got this error after i tried to install a backpack cd
rewritable .. The knowledge base tells me to enable my com
ports in the bios.. After I uninstalled the backpack
software I bought a new cdrw and installed it and this is
where I am recieving the error message under device
manager.. Has anyone ever herd of this.. and is the only
solution is to reload operating system???

If the "backpack" software added UpperFilters or LowerFilters registry value entries
then you may want to try the Method One Resolution given in the following Microsoft
Knowledge Base Article. And, of course, if you backup the registry key before
deleting the values you could easily restore it if this does not resolve the issue.
