I am getting a message "Error code [1282:1118]" after installing my scanner.
Where can I find out what that code means.

Hi,
Have you checked with the scanner manufacturer? The code looks similar to a
real mode offset memory address, so there may be a compatibility issue.

The scanner manufacturer couldn't help so I reinstalled Xp and SP2
separately and now the scanner works properly.
Last time I did a reinstall it was from a slipstreamed Xp and SP2 CD and it
seemed to install ok.

Glad to hear it's working now. Seems curious that installing them separately
would work versus using the slipstreamed disk, but.....
