Code 0 object expected

[Greek Goddess]

At certain websites I am getting a code 0 object expected message. This is a
hewlett packard computer with windows home xp. I never know when I am going
to get this. There is a certain site I go to for games and the chat part
doesnt load. I don't know how to fix this. I have gone to set program and
access defaults and it always shows custom and this disables java virtual
machine. I change this to enable program and for some reason it doesnt stay
at whatever I change. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I have the 6.5 version of java and restarted the comp. No go.
