Cod2 on vista

I'm trying to install Cod2 on my computer which runs Vista. I just updated
Vista with the new service pack, and I've downloaded the new patch for cod2.
The weird thing is, single player works fine, It's just multiplayer that's
messed up. Whenever I load up multiplayer and notice that says cod2mp_s.exe
has stopped working and the program quits out. I've tried running the game in
compatibility mode as XP service pack 2, as an admistrator and nothing works.
Please help me, I'm getting REALLY annoyed!

Everyone's posted this like 100 times already, so I guess it's my turn.

Gotta update Punkbuster.

I think you have to get the PBSETUP program that'll look on your HD, find CoD2 and update all the Punkbuster files. Then CoD2 multiplayer should startup OK.
