Outlook 2000, on Toshiba Tecra 730XCDT with Windows 95,
installation hangs with error message 1309 can't read from
file CNFNOT.exe.
Also hangs when I try to copy file into the Mapi/1033
Folder. Program was installed from server on laptop and I
bought laptop with Outlook 95 on and they gave me their
personal disc with MS OFFICE 2000 Professional files on
it, for when I wanted to upgrade. Well I upgraded and all
my 95 files were deleted.
I have tried service packs, new Windows Installation Setup
packs, cleaned the disc and disc player, uninstalled and
reinstalled and nothing has worked so far.
Not a lot of disc space left 106MB. New drive is going to
be installed soon.
Three questions:
1. Am I doomed in Outlook? Express works great.
2. What MSDN subscription should a home pc user get to
obtain new downloads for none working files?
3. Is there not anyplace Microsoft to send an email for
support questions such as these? All I do it seems is go
around in circles on their sites.
Any advice at all for any question will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Candace
