Hello all,
I have some conflicts in our Win2000 integrated DNS. One
RootDNSServers and two under our Domain name. What's the best way to
deal with these? Should I delete the earliest created or should I
just follow the saying,"if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
Thanks in advance
Where do you see the errors? In ADUC or in ADSI Edit?
By "RootDNSServers", does that mean the forest root domain DCs? What are the
two under "our domain name"? Is there a Windows 2003 DNS in the mix?
I would say if there are conflicts, you can safely deleted the older
reference, but if you are seeing conflicting zone names in the AD database,
then I will be willing to bet there is a more serious issue with replication
going on.
Can you be more descriptive please? Post any Event ID errors too, along with
how many DCs, domains, is it a single label name, etc.
Thanks
