Haven't the foggiest idea. how do i find out???????

The age, actually, doesn't matter. What matters is the charge state of
the battery. Most (but not all) 'puters use a flat 2cm (~3/4")diameter
3.0volt CR2032 lithium battery. It is mounted in a holder on the
motherboard. Open the box and see if that is the type of battery in
your machine and then go to a newsagency, pharmacy, electronis shop or
computer repairer and purchase a new one. If your machine uses a
different sort take the box to a computer repair shop and ask them to
fit a new one for you.
