1 how do I get a CMD for a shortcut, or just need to remember the word CMD ?

2 in the RUN pull down, I filled that thing with crap today trying to undo something regsvr did. I'd like to remove about 30 worthless entries under RUN. I tried highlighting the one's to delete, then hit delete. Allit did was removed it from the RUN address bar.

Any suggestions on how to accomplish this ?

Hi,

1) Click start, type cmd, then right click the entry and use the send to
desktop option.

2) Run regedit, navigate here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU

Remove unwanted strings from the right pane.

MRUList holds the sort order for the entries in the Run dropdown. Can be left alone.

It contains the order of the entries as they appear in the dropdown box

ie 'c' first then 'r' etc......

Oh - yes, should've recognized that.

That's the ordering list. A lot of MRU entries in the registry keep
those to track the order of most recently used. Not a big deal to remove
it as it will be recreated next time you add or use an entry from the list.
