I want to ruin sfc /scannow I found a tip to search for cmd.exe using the
windows search facility but it isn't there. Has it another name/ how do I
run the scan?

Look, if you go to Start button/All Programs/Accessories and to the
Command Prompt menu line. You can right-click the short-cut line and go
to Properties where you can see that the CMD.exe is the program that
will run.

If you want to run CMD.exe, make sure its short-cut is set to run with
Run As Administrator, which can be set permanently off of the Adv
button. Otherwise, you won't have the power to run a program or do
certain things.

click the start orb...and type cmd into the little box above the orb.
cmd.exe will appear...right click on it...run as administrator.
perhaps that was the tipsters intent.
