That's why you should never set the AVP to automatically delete infected files. If
you have it quarantined, and you can go to Symantec for the procedure to get rid
of the virus. they go to a lot of effort to show exactly what needs to be done to
clean your computer up.
I not being judgemental, but trying to educate everyone as to what should be done
with the least pain.
The real thing you should do is never open attachments from anyone. If you receive
one from a friend, they could be infected and the friend actually did not send
anything to you, the virus did. You should email them if this happens and ask them
if they sent you an attachment.
Also, anAVP uptodate, a firewall (hardware or software), Ad-aware(or equivalent),
and SpyBot S&D(or equal) is absolutely necessary these days.
You can d/l them at

No, that is not normal at all and is reason to investigate further, =
starting with a complete virus scan with up-to-date AV definition files.
That's a problem. When I run NAV with the latest definations, it resets my PC
part way thru the scan. My PC was so screwed up as a result, I had to reimage
it as Opera, NAV, and ZoneAlarm wouldn't run.
