Cmd doesnt work w/ linked table

I have command buttons that are set to open a form to a
new record which worked just fine until I split the
databse...does the database need to be seperate before I
build in the comd buttons?

What does the button do (or not do) now? Do you get an error?

I can think of no reason for splitting to affect a command button unless it was
attempting to perform design changes on the tables.
