I have set up a cluster which appears to be working fine,
and my users can connect to both servers and use the
applications installed on them.

However, they can not ping each other and when I try to
browse to other domains from the servers, it sates it can
not find a list of servers for the workgroup.

Any one, have any ideas??????

Hi Emma,
Let me see if I understand; users can access the clustered application
using the virtual computer name and the cluster is not giving any errors in
the System Event viewer (the source of the errors would be clussvc).
However, the cluster nodes themselves can not ping one another and you can
not browse the domain via Network Places.

Is this a Cluster Service cluster (MSCS) with shared storage? Or an NLB
cluster?
If they are NLB the behavior you are describing is normal:
816910 Cannot Ping IP Addresses After You Enable Network Load Balancing on
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=816910
&
197864 Cannot Ping a WLBS Server from Another WLBS Server
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=197864
Network browsing typically does not work from NLB clusters either as the
use of the Virtual IP can interfere with getting the browse list properly.

If this is an MSCS cluster with shared storage, you should be able to ping
by both the public adapter and the heartbeat adapter. Browsing should also
work here.

So if this is an NLB cluster we have an answer, if it is an MSCS cluster
please post some more detail about the systems.
