Cluster network node name does not come online

We have an Exchange 5.5sp4 cluster on Win2k sp1, 2 nodes. Active/Passive
setup. I've been having this problem since we migrated our WINS server onto
a new Win2k WINS
servers. The cluster network name would fail to come online. I consulted
the document at,
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;257903 , but it
still does not work. I see the cluster network name registers in the WINS
database. However, the resource would fail right away, then I see a
"released" status for the cluster network name record in the WINS database.
Does anyone know how to fix this? The cluster works regardless of this
problem, it's just annoying to see a red spot in cluster administrator.

thanks

Try the following...

If you are running Windows 2000 AD...

1. Check the AD User and Computers snap-in for an Computer Objects
corresponding
to the cluster network name resources. Be sure to check Domain Controllers
container as well.

2. Delete those objects and wait for replication to occur.

3. Bring the Network Name resources online.

Make sure you have a reverse look up zone created.

I forgot to mention that we are still in a NT4 environment. I did notice
that the clustered computer objects aren't there in the Server Manager
anymore. Would recreating these computer objects manually help?
