I had the same problem with this error message. I am not sure which program
was causing the error but it seemed to be Internet Explorer 7. I am using a
32-bit version of Windows Vista Ultimate. I seemed to have resolved the
issue by allowing "verclsid.exe" application in my firewall program. It is in
the \Windows\System32 folder. I learned about this resolution by checking my
event viewer to see which program was the culprit. Then I "googled"
verclsid.exe and got the following MS KB
article...http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918165

I allowed verclsid.exe in my Webroot Firewall program and I have not gotten
the error since. If I do, I'll let you know. I noticed this problem started
when I installed my firewall. I hope this info helps.
