How can I set windows XP to close windows with a single
click in the upper-left? I could do this on Windows SE
but not on XP. Thanks.
..

Thanks Carey,

I'm not trying to shutdown windows, I'm just trying to
close a single window or program by single clicking
instead of double clicking in the upper-left. I could do
this with Windows98SE but I can't figure out how to do
this with XP. Do you have any other ideas?

Michael

To change the number of mouse clicks required to open items:

1. Open Folder Options in Control Panel.
2. Double-click Folder Options
3. On the General tab, under Click items as follows, click the option you want.

.
Yes, I know. I have it set to "single" click. The
upper-left still gives me a drop down when I single click
it.

Open start, go to control panel, open folder options,
choose general tab, click on single click options, good
luck

Windows 3.x would close an window on the left, but since
Windows 95 the X has been on the upper right corner of
a window.
