Hello there,

I would like to know if there is a way that I can close the window after the
submit button is pressed. Or how to get a page after the button is pressed
saying that the data was succesfully sent?

Thanks in advance.

When using the FP Form Hander, users are automatically taken to a confirmation page or you can
create a custom confirmation page.

If you feel your current issue is a results of installing
a Service Pack or security update, please contact
Microsoft Product Support Services:

If the problem can be shown to have been caused by a
security update, then there is usually no charge for the call.

How can I make a confirmation page? I'm a newbie to FP2003 and I've got a
form but I'm hopeless to the confirmation page. Thanks in advance.

File New page and select the Confirmation page template
Then in your Form select Form Properties Options Confirmation and browse to the new confirmation page

I have the form, and I have made the confirmation page.
But when I press submit the email is sent but the form
still has all the data in the fields and no confirmation page shows up.

Did you set the confirmation page in form properties to the new page (not the same page as the form)

When I go to the form I go to Form Properties -> (the Send to other radio
button is selected) -> Options -> and Options for Custom Form Handler appears.
Avanced -> Hidden Fields appear.
When I selected the other radio button I could get to Confirmation Page but
after I added the URL of the confirmation page it just didn't change anything.
When I go back to Confirmation the URL has disappeared.

Send to Other does not support FP Confirmation pages
- that is for Non FP SE forms where you or your host provides a form handler

In order to use FP confirmation pages your site must be running the FP SE
Select Send To
- and browse to your save file location (or enter your email address)
- also browse to your confirmation page
(do not enter an absolute URL)

So if I leave it like it is I don't need a confirmation page?
Then I'd rather leave it like that but is there a way for me to
close the window after I submitted the form then?

Could someone please copy and paste here what a URL is supposed to look like?
When I select the option to use a custom confirmation page I "browse" to the
page location and am told to "Please enter a vaild URL". What does a valid
URL supposed to look like?

Side question - I am using a shared border format site - do confirmation
pages need to be given a "page heading" (not sure what else to call it) in
order for a form to reference them? If I add this "page heading" it will add
the confirmation page as a side link, which I do not want and I don't want to
publish it, so I am not sure what to do.

Thanks!
Ember

You can disable shared borders for specific pages.

Thanks, but I still do not know what a valid URL looks like. I browse to the
confirmation page I want, but am told that it is not a valid URL.

Thanks
Ember

In form properties options browse to your confirmation page
PS
Remove all spaces from file names like in Reservation Confirmation.htm
- make is Reservation_Confirmation.htm

If an email address/client is showing up, you did not create the form correctly
- most likely you used a mailto link around the submit button or as the form action
Create a new form using the Forms Wizard from File New Page - more page templates
