Is there a keyboard shortcut for closing a calendar in side-by-side view?

What is the fastest way to close such a calendar? something that doesn't require pointing a mouse?

No.

Too bad. Maybe I'm missing something about the Outlook 2003 UI, but this looks like a big oversight.

So, is there a way to have calendars open such that the new calendar replaces the current calendar view, as the way it works in Office 2000?

No.

I have not used Outlook 2000 for several months at work and several years here so I cannot say how OL 2000 works. Sorry.

Outlook 2000 does not have the concept of side-by-side calendars, so whenever you open a different calendar, it simply replaces the one you were viewing on the screen. Is there a way to get Outlook 2003 to handle calendar display in this same way?

I want to do this because, without a keyboard shortcut to quickly close an open calendar, I can drive Outlook 2003 much faster from the keyboard by using CTRL-Y to switch between calendars, just as in Outlook 2000. This would enable me to avoid having to open the Outlook 2003 Navigation Pane and check boxes on and off to get rid of calendars. I can do without side-by-side multiple calendars if it means having to tediously navigate between them.
