Dear All,

Is there anyway of closing a local workstation service from a server? The
reason why I ask is that we have an application that runs locally on the
workstations and we performs updates daily. When we want to do the update we
have to manually get everyone out of the application. If they do not come
out of the application we cant perform an update on that workstation.

One solution that comes to mind is to check for and install your updates
using a Login script - then all you need is for the users to log off each
night. Presumably, they do this already??

HTH,
Cameron:-)

Dear Cameron,

Do you know of any vbs that would be able to compare two file types (one on
a server and one on a workstation) and copy the newer one to the workstation
upon login?

Many Thanks,

John
