When I close IE-7 I get the following error message in my screen:
I E has stopped working. A problem caused the project to stop correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
This 'solution' is not shown and I do not know how to solve this. Everyting
else works fine and I get this message witn both a clean install and an
update.
Please help.

I'm not an IE expert, but try this:

In the 'Start Search' box, type "int" (without quotes)

In the 'Programs' section of the results, you should see "Internet Explorer
(No Add-ons)", launch that.

If you can browse to 'Google' & close without getting an error, then launch
a normal instance of IE, display the Menu bar, and look under:

Tools -> 'Manage Add-ons'

where you can troubleshoot by disabling all then adding back one-by-one
until you recreate your error.

I don't know what's causing the problem but I can tell you that if
when/MS figures it out (or doesn't) they'll let you know. That's what is
meant by "Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution
is available."

I've had notices pop up from error reports that I'd sent 2 weeks prior.

Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

What else have you installed besides Vista?
