closing all open windows

I have XP Home.

Sometimes I might have 5-7 windows open (I use IE).

Is there any shortcut to closing all open windows?

Alt+F4 will close the current open window. Press that 5-7 times and
they are all closed!

The easiest way is to simply hold down the CTRL key and hit F4 a few times.

Get hold of a copy of IE7
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx which allows
tabbed browsing like firefox, personally I prefer the latter.

There is no shortcut for that except Alt+F4. However, if accumulating open
windows gets too tiresome, try going to Internet Options > Advanced >
Browsing, and check 'Reuse window for launching shortcuts'.
