Hello ...

I have Windows XP. My computer (Hewlett Packard) came with a CD
writer pre-installed.

I have copied a lot of photographs to a CD. I would like to close the
CD so that I can play it on other machines. However, I can't find a
"close" option on the CD Wizard.

When I had my other computer, I had a CD writer installed, and the
software for that one asked me whether I wanted to close the CD or
not. However, now that I have this pre-installed CD writer, I can't
figure out how to do that.

Might someone be able to tell me how to close a CD in Windows XP using
the CD Wizard?

The reason this has come up is that I have been unable to open this CD
on my mother's computer. She has Windows 98 (I'm almost certain.)
Her CD drive is apparently an M: drive. When I tried to open the CD
in my mother's computer, it sounded like it was going to start up, but
then it just sort of sat there and didn't open. We tried other CDs --
like a Microsoft Money CD -- and they opened fine.

It has been suggested to me that I need to close the CD with
photograhs in order to view it on other computers.

Many thanks.
