Hello

Brilliant as I am....I've outdone myself

I needed to backup my main database on a daily basis so I created a second blank database a wrote a simple function that did exactly that. Then I wrote an autoexec macro that when the database was opened it ran the filecopy function and then closed the database. Finally I added the filecopy database to my startup folder

Now here's the problem with my brilliant plan. Now that it works, I need to modify the path to be copied but I can't because whenever I try to open the file it closes. See the irony

Is there a way to open it in an edit mode or with all macros disabled....

Help?

Thank

Danie
I think I'll just curl up in a ball for a while!

Hi Daniel

If you hold down the shift key when opening a database, then the normal
startup options and procedures (including AutoExec) will be bypassed.
