If you prefer keyboard, shrtcuts, press and hold down the ALT key and then press the F4 key. Release both keys. This is the same for any windows programs you use, not just for the Internet. Andy

If you want to close a bunch of windows, right-click at the appropriate button down there at the task bar, where it says "6 Internet Explorer" or something like that and choose "Close Group".
