clock speed wrong?

i have had my true ati 9600xt for about 2 weeks now and i am confused
the clock speed tab in display settings reads the core speed as being 249.3
but i know clock is supposed to be 500
i can understand the memory being halfed but not the core

Looks like a problem in the drivers , if it runs good and it
benches good.... it should be good!

Yet, do contact ati with this case..maybe it's damaged
hardware/software bug/known issue!

Quirky things happen, I can only guess it's a software error! Ah wel, such is life!
