Every once in a while the time will be about 3 hours
slow. The minutes are fine, it's just the hour that is
affected.
Any solutions?
Thanks,
Joel

Replace the battery.

As was pointed out to you in an earlier message, this is wrong.
Losing time while the computer is running can *not* be the
battery, which is not even used while Windows is running.

Moreover it takes a giant stretch of credulity to assume that a
bad battery could screw up the hour but leave the minutes
correct.

That will not be the answer to something that is jumping by hours. It
results in a steady large loss or gain at a steady rate, like 10 mins in
the hour. (Nor is it the battery as it happens as windows runs)

Most likely cause is that there is a synchronisation going on with
either a domain controller in a network, or a scheduled internet sync
(not *I think* the Windows one) and there is a cross-purposes over time
zone and DST setting
