Amy

I have win xp pro. I have set the time and date and time
zone. I can set the time and date, then around 20 minutes
later it picks its own time. I cannot figure out what is
causing this. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi Amy,

Suggestion:

Go to Start/Run and type in: cmd
At the prompt, type in:

net stop w32time, enter.
Then w32tm /unregister, enter.
Then w32tm /register, enter.
Then net start w32time, enter.

Hi,

have you set your Region correctly?

hi,

Double click the "date and time" icon in control panel,

Click the Internet time tab. Uncheck "automatically synchronize with an
internet time server"

Click Apply, and click Ok.

This should do. If the time continues to change, check your RTC battery.

Best of luck,
