Clips won't save problem

I'm trying to edit a long WMV file into shorter clips, I only placed 2 clips
in the storyboard and tried to save but no matter what the format the timer
just keeps getting higher (over 3,000 minutes) without starting to save. Any
ideas? Thanks
 
If I guess it's a screen capture file from something like a Webinar.... then
it's not indexed as a wmv video file. Use the encoder9 app to convert the
file to a standard video with regular keyframes.

Of course that might not be what you're starting with.
