Hi, In the old movie maker when I imported clips into the collections they
showed as thumbnails on the collections screen. Now when I import clips into
MM2 each clip is in its own collection folder so I have to click on each
folder to see the thumbnail and drag to the timeline. How do I change it
back to the old way? It was so much easier to work with the clips when I
could see thumbnails all on one page to pick and choose. Any ideas? Thanks
in advance for your help

Unfortunately you can't.
We've gone back and forth over whether this is a "feature" or a mistake. I
feel it is a mistake since you don't have the option of changing it.
Basically the programmers decided, and it does make sense I just don't do it
this way, that you would want each video in a separate folder cut into
pieces to place in your projects. Since I don't want WMM to decide where to
create clips I do it manually and prefer to organize my clips by events or
family vs. friends etc... so I have to move each clip after importing it to
the directory of my choosing. This is unfortunately what you will have to do
as well. Click the [Collections] button at the top so all your collections
show up in the left pane. From there select the collection that contains the
clip(s) you want to move. They show up on the right and from there you can
drag them to any collection you want. You can also right click on
"Collections" at the top of the list and select "New Collection" to create a
folder to drag items to. After that right click the empty collection and
select "delete" to get rid of it.
