Where can I find the file to view the contents of the clipboard???
I've searched the Product Solution Centers in Vista for Clipboard Viewer
and apparently it has never heard of it. I've searched the Windows folder
and
couldn't find it in over 2,000 *.exe files

Hi JamesJ,

Click Start and then Run. In the Run box type in
"C:\windows\system32\clipbrd.exe" (without the quotes) to bring up ClipBoard
Viewer. This assumes that your XP install folder is in Windows.

Once you have confirmed that you do have clipbrd.exe on your PC, just make a
shortcut on your desktop using the command syntax that you typed in the Run
box.

Couldn't remember the file name. Thanks.

Sorry, I jumped the gun. Running Vista and I can't find
"C:\windows\system32\clipbrd.exe"

The ClipBook Viewer (clipbrd.exe) is no longer a part of Vista, but if you
have access to an XP installation, you could copy the file from XP's
system32 folder.

Hmmm, I'm running XP, so it's possible that Vista hasn't included that file
for some reason.

I wonder if you could just find someone with XP or an earlier Microsoft O/S
and just copy the file. Although with Vista, who knows what it allows? :>

Alan

I'll look into it.

Thanks

---------------
I dual boot XP home and Vista Ultimate. I copied "clipbrd.exe" from
XP/Windows/system 32
to Vista/Windows/System32. I then right clicked on the file - "PIN TO START
MENU".
I copied something to the clipboard in Win Mail, clicked on the start menu
shortcut,
there was the clipboard and with exactly what I had copied.

Really.

Did you look to see if the file was in ME?
Maybe it will work if you copy it.
If you can copy from Virtual PC - I know nothing about this

I don't have dual boot. The closest I have is WinMe under
Virtual PC.

The old CLIPBRD.EXE is not included with Vista.

If you want it, simply copy that file from an XP PC to your Vista
WINDOWS\SYSTEM 32 folder. Then create a shortcut to it.

I don't have acces to an XP system but can I extract it from a
cab file? If so which one.
