Clipboard file size limit?

I have a data mining application in Win2000 that can copy
table results into Excel, but with some large result sets
not all of the rows are being copied over. I don't think
it is an Excel problem since these truncated datasets are
only 2-3,000 rows--only about the first 1,000 rows are
getting in. Since this data is first being copied to the
clipboard, is there a clipboard file size limit, and if
so, how can it be enlarged. Or is there another solution
for larger files?

Thank you.

Clipboard size limitations come from the application, not Windows
(memory/pagefile limits notwithstanding).

There are a few other exceptions, e.g. if you copy *from* an Office
2000 app then you're limited to 4MB:
