I tried inserting picture frames from clipart, clip organiser, and
clips on the web. Although the middle of the frame appears transparent
it is not; it is in fact white and solid colour. Inserting a picture
is no problem if both the pic and frame are rectangular -- but if
frame is odd-shaped eg heart shaped you cannot place the pic behind
frame (solid white blocks it out) or on top of frame (edges of pic are
visible). All help welcome

hi

are the images transparent gifs, or in png format?
are you simply dragging them into powerpoint (ole objects) or using
the insert function?
