clip art & pictures distorted and/or missing when opening from another computer/version

The last two slideshows I worked on had problems when played on other computers. In both cases, some of the clip art would show up with only a black outline visible and on the second one several pictures were missing (if framed, the frame or outline showed up). I use clip art from a variety of sources, but there is nothing consistent about the ones that are having this problem. All the pics are digital, saved directly to my PC from camera so there is no obvious reason why some are missing. Also the slide transitioning was off by almost 90 seconds when reopened.

It plays fine on my computer. It's likely that the version of PPT on these computers is a more recent version, but this is not the kind of issue I would expect even then. HELP!

I'd start by changing hardware acceleration
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00129.htm and next updating video
drivers.

As for the transitioning being off by 90 seconds, PPT's timeline isn't
terribly accurate wrt synching. However, 90 seconds is a lot. If you're
using a newer version of PPT, though, that could indeed be the problem.
Newer versions interpret animation timings differently than older versions.
See

for instance.
