I've got a very annoying problem.

I've got a network with two win2k servers... on is simply an ISA machine
with an external interface to the internet. The other is used as a DC, File
server, Exchange and Web server.

Client's range between win98 and winXP Pro. the XP machines work flawlessly
and most 98 machines are good as well. But I have to 98 machines whose
users constantly get kicked off the network throughout the day and their
accounts get locked out. The only way for them to get back on is to unlock
their accounts.

Any idea what the heck is going on? I've tried everything I can think of.

TIA

Mat

Got WINS installed on the server? Got options 044 and 046 (0x8) set in
DHCP-server, Scope options?
Does the ipconfig/all from the clients show that everything is pointing to
the server-IP?

Got WINS installed? = YES
Got Options 044 and 046 (0x8) Set in DHCP server, Scope Options? = YES and
NO respectively

What exactly does option 046 do. I've set it now so I'll see if that
helps.

Does the ipconfig /all from the clients show that everything is pointing to
the server-IP? = YES

Thanks,

Mat

Set the 046-option. Has to do with broadcasting. Did you restart DHCP-server
after setting these options?
You've also got options 003, 006 and 015 set, right?
DNS on the servernic(s) is pointing to the server-IP, right?
