I tried to do a TS connection to a Ws2003 with terminal services connection s/w and unable to map printer successfully. Found that rdc does it better. I want to change my users client s/w for the w2k TS client to RDC. Is that OK and are there any doc to show the comparison between this 2 client s/w.

If you connect to a 2003 TS, you get the most out of it when you use
the latest rdp client, version 5.2.3790. You can download it here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=a8255ffc-
4b4a-40e7-a706-cde7e9b57e79&DisplayLang=en

The older version that came with W2K (version 5.0) doesn't support
redirection of network printers. The version that comes with XP SP1
(version 5.1) should also be OK, but I recommend 5.2.3790.

I would like to upgrade the TS client software from W2K 5.0 to RDC 5.2.3790. All my clients connect to W2k TS. Some of them report that the TS session under RDP 5.0 suddenly disappers when they access some menu in the published apps. Not all face this problem. So i thought that using RDC 5.2.3790. would be better off . Any suggestio

I doubt it if this problem will be fixed by upgrading the client,
but you never know....
What do you mean exactly with a "published app"? Windows 2000 (nor
2003) support published applications. That's a Citrix feature.

Which applications are causing these disconnections (if that is
what happens)? Is there anything in the EventLog on the server
when this happens?

Sorry, since I was replying to you, I thought I was in the Citrix Forum. What i actually meant was the apps that was accessed via TS.

Clients are accessing our Insurance apps and unfortunately there are no logs generated at the server, while client are on Win98 , they are no logs over there too. But this problem happens only to a few. So I'm trying the new RDC s/w to see any improvents.
